Five star Chalet Cristal des Neiges has been completely renovated to provide all the comforts of modern living but without losing the charm of a traditional Savoyard chalet.
Set in the tranquil Gotty area of La Clusaz, it's the perfect choice if you want to be close to all the Alpine action, but still enjoy a peaceful location. With spectacular views over the mountains, you're less than 4km from the centre of the resort and just 300m from the nearest green run to the ski lift and ski school.
The traditional village of La Clusaz is just a short drive away, and offers a good range of shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife, as well as markets where you can pick up delicious local produce.

This charming chalet sleeps 10 people in four bedrooms with four bathrooms.
The light and airy living area is on the ground floor, where you can relax on the sofas around an open fire or enjoy dinner together at the large dining table. A bar connects the well-equipped kitchen to the rest of the living area so if it's your turn to cook, you won't miss anything!
This area opens on to the 150m2 terrace and balcony, which runs around two sides of the chalet to make the most of the sunshine throughout the day. The views are spectacular, and there's a lovely barbecue area too, so that you can eat outside in good weather. At the opposite end of the balcony is the jacuzzi - the perfect place to relax after a busy day. There's a shower room and separate toilet on this floor too.
Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a larger 4 people dorm under the eaves. These rooms share a stylish shower room. The dorm can be either set up with 4 single beds, or as a family room with one double bed and two single. There are a further two double en suite bedrooms in the lower level, where you'll also find a really useful ski store (for 12 pairs of skis, with also 2 boot warmers), lots of hanging space, a laundry and drying room, and more importably a fantastic sauna to relax after an active day in the mountains.
Everything has been designed to make sure your holiday runs as smoothly as possible, so all you have to do is enjoy yourselves!
About the area ...
La Clusaz is an authentic mountain village which blends tradition with up-to-date facilities. Its traditional chalets and lively streets offer a vibrant setting with Savoyard charm. Nestled in the heart of the Aravis massif, it is only 30 min from Annecy and close to Le Grand-Bornand and Manigod. Its warm atmosphere and easy accessibility make it a popular destination year-round.
In winter, the resort provides easy access to the Aravis ski area, offering 210km of pistes that combine long descents and technical sectors across La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, Manigod, and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. The region also offers a variety of winter activities, including cross-country skiing, dog sledding, sledging, snow biking, ice diving and ice skating.
During the rest of the year, numerous hiking and biking trails lead to superb views over the Aravis, such as the Plateau des Glières. The village boasts a modern watersports centre providing activities for all ages and a wellbeing area. The nearby Lake Annecy is another great place for swimming, paddleboarding, and sailing. Other summer activities include via ferrata, climbing and paragliding, leaving you with a wealth of memories to take home.

The chalet is just above the green piste which links Etale to La Clusaz village. In good snow conditions experienced skiers can pick up the track from the end of the road less than 300 metres from the chalet. However young children/ inexperienced skiers may need a couple of days and some confidence before using this track.
NOTE: the garage is not available to guests.
There is only one cot and one high chair at the chalet.
The top floor dormitory is located under the eaves and its access door is very low.
The 5 star classification applies to a capacity of 8 people. However the chalet can comfortably welcome up to 10 people.
The owner requires a €1,000 damage and excess cleaning guarantee to be set up before arrival. No funds are taken or blocked on your card. Your card details are securely held for up to 14 days after departure. If no charge is required, they will be deleted.

This chalet has a story.
Built by my father in 1974, he called it Cristal des Neiges.
In 2013, I decided to renovate my childhood home to give it a new lease of life, while keeping its mountain spirit, mixing old wood and local stone.
The chalet is ideally situated, with a breathtaking view of the Aravis mountains and Etale. The green run linking Etale to La Clusaz, where you'll find the ice rink, ski schools and the Beauregard and La Clusaz telecabine, is just 300m below the chalet.
You'll be staying in a traditional and welcoming chalet, and are sure to enjoy a pleasant, relaxing and unforgettable holiday with family or friends.
